What the rank does
The rank most officers hold longest. A captain commands a platoon in a specialist unit, serves as second-in-command of a company, or works as adjutant or operations officer in a headquarters. For pilots the range at this rank is the widest in the CAF: the same floor as any other captain, and a ceiling about half as much again.
