Operations
The rest of this site describes the Forces at rest — who serves, what they are paid, what they operate, where they train. This is the part that says what it is all for. Named operations show how the CAF organizes many of its commitments. Some run continuously; others involve periodic deployments or support to a particular event.
Current operations come from the Department of National Defence listing. The concluded ones are a selection rather than a history: the ones that explain the shape of the current list, or that people still ask about.
Sourced from the Department of National Defence current operations listing, the recently completed operations index, and the individual operation pages. Deployed strengths change constantly and are given as the official pages state them; where no figure is published, none is invented. Listing and targeted historical checks: 15 September 2026. Each card states the scope of its check. Episodic operations are not continuous deployments; future closures are not completed events.
